Pretty Addictions swatches

Sorry for the complete and utter crap look of the swatches. I decided to do them on my hand instead of my arm like I usually do..
Pretty Addictions recently offered their "let me upgrade you'' sale - 6 10g jars for the price of 5g jars. 25 sets were available, with each order getting a special surprise, and one order getting an extra special surprise. I had to get in on this.
Without further ado, here's the pics!

First swatch of each color is over my usual NYX primer, second is over bare skin.
Top row, left to right: Royal Rebel, Sober, Kiwi
Bottom row: Mojito, Tickled Mermaid, Electric Lemonaid

Royal Rebel and Tickled Mermaid are both newer colors, and I have completely fallen in love with Royal Rebel. I'm a sucker for anything purple, and this is...just...just look at it. I want to bathe in this.

Burred so you can see the sparkle in Sober and Tickled Mermaid.
This is just to show the staying power of the NYX Base Camp primer. Love this stuff. This was after soap and water!

This is Royal Rebel, in all its shimmery sparkly glory <3

And now, a few quick, sorta-half-assed eye pics. I think they would have come out better had I not nearly blinded myself with my mascara.

Tickled Mermaid on lid, Royal Rebel as highlight, Physicians' formula gel eye liner (this stuff is a godsend, btw) and LUXX mascara. The mascara is great, but sometimes applies a bit too thickly, which is how I nearly blinded myself earlier...globs of mascara on the eyeball don't feel too nice.

Now, you may be asking yourself 'gee, where's the special surprise gift you mentioned up above?' (provided you actually read this and don't just stop in to look at the pictures XD)

Well, I kinda can't show it to you. The surprise gift was a code for a free eyeshadow, and I just can't go giving it away, otherwise I wouldn't be able to use it for myself. Fear not, though! Pretty Addictions are super inexpensive, so even without a coupon code, you can still get your hands on some awesome pretties without putting a dent in your wallet. My personal recommendations are Gossip, Obnoxious, Royal Rebel, and 25 Karat Gold. Vintage Doll also seems to be a big seller, but I haven't gotten to try that one yet. Kas also just released a line of glitters called Shattered Diamonds *drools*

One more little tidbit of info: Pretty Addictions' Facebook page facebook.com/prettyaddictions is holding a contest! Any of you lovely ladies who are lucky enough to already have PA's awesome products can participate. Head on over to her page, check out the contest, and enter to win! The contest ends Sunday, so get your looks ready!

Anotehr Pretty Addictions look

I didn't get a chance to take any pictures of what I wore to work today :( so, here's another look I did earlier this week and didn't manage to post yet. Yay for procrastination!

Products used: Pretty Addictions eye candy in Gossip on the eyelid and Electric Lemonade blended above.

Speaking of Pretty Addictions, Kas had some games on her Facebook last night. (facebook.com/prettyaddictions ) , and yours truly won the final round scavenger hunt. So I'll be getting a sample tin here soon. I can't wait to see what colors she picks to put in my prize (it's all a big mystery, lol )
I actually like the fact that I won't know what colors I'll be receiving. I've ordered from PA twice in the past, and Kas knows I'm a fan of bright eye colors, so we'll see what colors she chooses ^-^

Til next time...

Work look

I know, I know, no review or anything of the sorts yesterday...
Here's something to make up for it ^.^

Pretty Addictions' Electric Lemonade (inner corners) and Obnoxious( middle), and Maybelline On-The-Loose rollerball shadow in Skate til Midnight (think that's the name...) on the outer.

I really like the way this picture came out ^

Anyways, just a quick little look for today... And now some ramblings..
I'd say TGIF, but honestly, that really doesn't matter right now..I'm off tomorrow, so maybe I'll just relax with a few drinks tonight, since I won't have to work in the morning...I'm dying to go back to the flea market. It feels like we haven't been in forever, but we're still trying to do this ''no spend november'' thing, so...it'd be pointless to go. You have to pay to park, for one. ( only $1, but still...it's spending money). For two (is that right? Looks funny...), it is next to impossible for me to leave the flea market empty handed. I can do that at ard sales, thrift stores, and most other stores, but the flea market is a completely different animal. My trading card guy almost always gets money from me. (I collect WWE/WWF wrestling cards and figures...shuddup. I've been collecting since I was probably 12, 13..I'm now 23.) I've been going to this guy for cards for probably the last 5 years or so. He always cuts me great deals, probably because I've been going to him for so long. So a handful of cards that would cost anyone $6 will only run me about $3.50.  ^-^ Besides the card guy, there's always always ALWAYS MAC and other makeup brand booths there... And jewelry (got my second heartagram charm at the flea market), food (AWESOME peached last time we went, and one booth has something called a Washington Apple Pear..pretty kickass fruit), and clothes, and magazines, and....well, if you need it, the flea market's got it,lol. And I love it there.
So TGIF, or not.

Any amazing plans for the weekend?
So yeah...(See what I said about rambling above?)

Pretty Addictions review

So I've mentioned once or twice here how much I love Pretty Addictions cosmetics...Well, what do you think you're getting in this post? Yup!
I haven't ordered anythin from PA in about 6 months, but believe me, I've been drooling over the eye candy goodies since then. I was being good nd not buyin, until Kas had to torment us on her FB page on Monday (Halloween) saying that every order placed that day would receive something extra in their order. So Idid what any makeup addict would do when faced with that offer..I placed an order. This time it was just for 3 clamshell samples. I ordered Electic Lemonade, Gossip, and Wicked.
I placed my order Monday (The day before the bf and I's no spend november was set to kick off...one final purchase..) and it arrived Friday. Great TAT, although I admit, I was already impatient come Wednesday to get my goodies. When they came, it took all I had not to rip into them at the mailbox. But I refrained, in order to take a picture for all of you. You're welcome.
Love the leopard print wrapping everything comes in ;)

Here's what was inside:
The three small containers came shrinked wrapped together, whch I loved..it prevents spillage. The trick or treat sticker hides the extra surprise that was thrown in with my order.

This is everytinhg that came with my order. Remember, my camera sucks, so this isn't the most clear picture in the world.
Let's take a closer look at what I got!

Electric Lemondae. There's not much difference in the two pictures, but I felt you could see the sparkle better in the bottom shot. In both pictures, Lemonade was swatched on bare skin (top stripe) and over NXY white Base Camp primer(bottom stripe)

I love this color! It's so vibrant, but not garish. This seems to be a cousin of Obnoxious...one that's not quite a party animal, lol

Gossip. This one is super super pretty, and probably my favorite out of all I ordered. It really pops, as you can see above, over primer. I'm going to be using this in a look today, pictures later.

Wicked: I have to admit, I flip-flopped a bit before ordering this one. I have way too many black shadows that go unused in my drawer, simply because I am not a black shadow girl. Never have been. But Wicked looked to damn interesting to pass up, so I went ahead and got it. I'm glad I did. The sparkle in this is awesome, and it's got an almost purple tone. It's also super pigmented, even on bare skin (right swatch)

Fiona: This is the bagged sample I got for free (Kas is known to include a free baggie sample with purchases. Last time I ordered, I got Bloom, wh  ich I love) Fiona is a pretty brown color, but honestly, browns aren't really my thing. I'll have to figure out a use for this baby. (bare skin swatch on right.)

Finally...my special treat!

This is Hocus Pocus. A color from Pretty Addictions'   Dancing With The Devil collection. When I opened this, all I could say was ''wow''. Pictures do this one NO justice. It;s described on the website as a duochrome that works best with a base ( bare skin swatch on right for comparison.) Goregeous, gorgeous, GORGEOUS.

For comparitive purposes, Hocus Pocus is on the bottom. That's right, it was a delux sized sample she threw in , for free, in addition to the bagged sample. <3

Like Isaid, there will be a look later with Gossip, I can't wait to show it off!
